The Desco Combo Tester X3 verifies the functionality of personnel grounding devices (wrist straps1  foot grounders, ESD shoes, smocks2 Three independent tests are performed simultaneously on the wrist strap and each foot. Green lights indicate a pass condition. Red and yellow lights plus an audible alarm indicate when the wrist strap and/or footwear (left or right) have failed. DIP switches may be accessed for test limit preferences. Access control to an ESD Protected Area can be further enforced by using the relay terminal on the Combo Tester X3 and connecting it to an electronic door lock or turnstile to grant access only to those who have passed their personnel grounding device tests. The Combo Tester X3 is calibrated to NIST standards and includes a certificate.

Now you can easily and reliably restrict the entry of personnel without valid personnel grounding into EPAs (ESD Protected Areas) by using a Combo Tester. The system consists of a tester (combo tester) to validate the wrist straps and footwear, which is connected to the Access Control (magnetic lock) of the Door. When personnel enter the EPA, they need to test their wrist strap/ESD footwear. If the resistance of the Wrist strap / ESD footwear is within acceptable range as per the ANSI ESD S20.20 standard, the door is opened by release of the Magnetic Lock on the door. The instrument shows the result on a Pass or Fail Basis.

This instrument will work both External 9V DC supply and internal built ri 9 Volts battery.
When the 9V DC Adaptor is inserted in the instrument (socket provided at Left sde of the rrotrument) the edema] 9V battery we get disconnected & the instrument will work on external supply. if the external supply jack removed instrument will work with internal battery.
The 'POWER' LED - Green ndication shows the battery is healthy. if the Red indication comes the battery is in Low voltage ad it has to be replaced.
